bringing your vision to life in a bright and lively style

I am freelance artist based in Falmouth, MA, on Cape Cod and have recently been focusing on digital illustration for business or private needs.   I enjoy creating images for organizations or events that are tailored to the client’s project.  Whether the subject is a family member, friend or furry one,  I strive to convey a likeness with accompanying personal detail.  My style is bright & lively and finished digital images are illustrative yet uncluttered, lending themselves easily to a variety of uses.  My designs have been printed on invitations,  t-shirts, postcards, party favors, business cards, promotional mailings, framed for keepsake gifts and featured on websites.

I’m proud to be a part of the wonderful community I was raised in. I am a member of and have instructed children’s drawing at the Falmouth Artists Guild and have been a Volunteer in Public Schools (VIPS) assisting an elementary grade art teacher. In 2010 I compiled the e-newsletter for the non-profit ArtsFalmouth and in 2011 became a new member of the Falmouth Cultural Council. I have been fortunate to have been part of a team of artists who have created two public mosaic murals in Falmouth.

My other passions are painting, drawing and writing. At home, I enjoy painting in oil and while traveling, I often paint in acrylic and create small pen & ink and watercolor sketches. Additionally, I create handpainted signage and murals for commercial and residential spaces.  You can see my visual art in the various galleries on the right and my art reviews, columns and articles in the published writing tab, also on the right. I also assist my husband, photographer ben allsup, of benshotme.com, particularly as publisher of benshotme “the magazine,” featuring ben’s photography, our own and guest essays.
